Usually weight gain is a result of metabolic issues, overeating, carb rich meals. There could be other reasons why you may be putting on weight: 1. Poor sleep: Major part of weight loss happens in the body when you are sleep. Improper sleep is going to stall your progress. 2. Poor digestion: Without proper digestion, your body will find it tough to lose weight. Resolve the underlying constipation, bloating or diarrhea to start your weight loss. 3. Low energy levels: It's very important to ensure you have enough energy to go through the day to keep your health journey on. You could be anaemic, dealing with a low thyroid, 4. Irregular menstrual cycle: An irregular cycle cycle shows that your estrogen is off. Estrogen as a hormone has a tendency to cause weight gain. That's why it is important to manage your irregular menstrual cycles well. 5. Cravings When your body stops craving sugars and foods that is a sign that the body has switched it's fuel source to body fat from the carbs. 6. Inflammation Inflammation within the body is a sign of your adrenals working overtime. That can cause you to continually put on more weight. 7. Stress Increased stress causes the body to hold on to fat. It's important to let go off that stress to ease the body into fat burning.
