Stop! These foods can sabotage your weight loss. In higher quantities, they pack a lot of calories and other ingredients that do more harm than good. 1. Nuts Nuts are a great source of healthy fats. But overdo them too much, they can quickly become a calorie bomb. 2. Fruit juices: Fruit juices can spike your sugar especially the packed kind. The spike in sugar will cause you to have an energy drop later. Add to this the missing fiber that whole fruit provides. It's a bit of a loss. 3. Protein bars Protein bars don't just have protein. Usually they are laced with high sugars. The calories can add up quickly taking you out of calorie deficit. 4. Nut butters Nut butters are healthy but they pack high calories. They are easy to overeat especially if you eat them straight from the jar. If the peanut butter your having has added salt and sugars, you might crave them more. 5. Spinach Spinach is incredibly healthy and a staple in many weight loss diets. But it's important to remember that you must cycle your greens. Keep it a good mix of varieties. Excess spinach can lead to kidney stones. 6. Dips Be careful with store-bought sauces and dips. They are often laden with sugars, unhealthy fats and additives. Best to do homemade dips and dressings than Subway. 7. Energy Drinks: Energy drinks are usually loaded with sugar or unhealthy sweeteners. You can easily overdo your calories with them. Being high on caffeine, they can also have other unwanted effects on your health.
