Eating food especially refined carbs frequently stimulates hunger.
Myth 2: Skipping meals will cause you to overeat.
Not quite. Planned fasting is very different from hunger. If you ensure complete intake of required calories in the number of meals that work for you with nourishing foods, you don't need to be eating 4-5 meals everyday.
Myth 3: Eating frequently will increase metabolism
When you eat, you spike insulin, which will block weight loss and metabolism. Frequent meals, actually, will slow the metabolism and create a higher set point with your weight, so you will not be able to lose past a point causing a plateau.
